"Jì gǎi" (祭改) is a ritual where "jì" (祭) means to inform the gods of prayers for blessings, and "gǎi" (改) means to remove bad luck and adjust one's fortune by resolving the ill omens encountered in the current year (such as Wugui, Tiangou, Baihu, etc.). Through a ceremony, a substitute effigy is used to dissolve bad luck and malevolent energies, thereby averting disasters and turning misfortune into good fortune. The power of the gods is invoked to transfer calamities to the substitute, which is then taken away by celestial soldiers and generals, hoping to bring about a smoother flow of luck.

📣 Golden Ring Bìngwǔ Year Festival Revised Notice 📣

Date: Friday, February 27 - Saturday, February 28, 2026 (11th - 12th day of the 1st lunar month, Year of the Horse)
Triangle Ritual Address: 1st Floor, No. 10, Lane 39, Changjiang Street, Xizhi District, New Taipei City (Jin Huan Xing Gong)
Applicants must bring their own clothing (avoid black, dark blue, green, and sleeveless) for the empowerment ceremony.
It is recommended that one representative from each household personally offer incense. For those unable to attend, staff will offer incense on their behalf.
Ritual Cleansing Process:
(1) Those who have registered will need to check in by 12:30 PM on the day.
After completing check-in, receive the prayer for exorcism and a stick of incense from the staff at the Heavenly Altar. Offer the prayer to the spirits and then put it away. The staff will collect the prayer before you insert incense at subsequent checkpoints.
(3) Await the arrival of Empress Dowager Chen Saint, holding personal and family clothing to pass through the seven-star furnace; line up in order to have Empress Dowager Chen Saint bless your purification.
(4) Prepare personal and family clothing, line up in order to have Empress Dowager Chen approve the clothes and stamp them.
