Guanyin Buddha

Invitation to Remove Obstacles - Birthday on the 19th Day of the Second Lunar Month
In folk beliefs, Guanyin Bodhisattva is referred to by various honorific titles such as Guanyin Buddha, Guanyin Great Master, and Guanyin Mother. Among the devotees of the Golden Ring, she is universally called "Guanyin Buddha" to express the utmost reverence in their hearts.
The literal meaning of Guanyin Bodhisattva is "observing the sounds of the world." The Universal Gate Chapter states: "If there are immeasurable hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands, millions of sentient beings who are suffering from various afflictions, and they hear of Guanyin Bodhisattva, and call [His/Her] name with one heart, Guanyin Bodhisattva will then observe their voices and they will all be liberated." This is why Buddhists often say, "Constantly chant Guanyin."
The Guanyin Buddha worshipped at Jin Huan was divinely inspired from Zhulinshan Guanyin Temple in Linkou District, New Taipei City, often referred to as Zhulinshan Temple. Its name originates from the "Zhu" (bamboo) of Luzhu, the "Lin" (forest) of Linkou, and the "Shan" (mountain) of Guishan, thus indicating the range of belief for the Guanyin Buddha of Zhulinshan Temple.
According to legend, the Eighteen-Armed Guanyin enshrined at Zhulin Mountain Temple is the third Guanyin Bodhisattva from Quanzhou Jinjiang County Qu'an Longshan Temple, and has a long history.
Sharing of deeds
Guanyin is a distressed deity that our temple has connected with. We found her at the entrance of a Buddhist supply store, and she had not yet been de-consecrated. Because we believe Guanyin is omnipresent, we were fortunate to bring her back to worship. I recall a period of continuous rain. During that time, the grandfather of a devotee at our temple was hospitalized due to heart problems and had been in a coma for days. Upon hearing that our temple had just brought back Guanyin Buddha, he came to pray for Guanyin to grant his grandfather liberation and peace. Strangely enough, the next day, the Taipei area was bathed in sunshine. The devotee also woke up particularly early, wanting to see his grandfather at the hospital before going to work. As the sunlight shone on the grandfather, he passed away peacefully in his sleep.
When Guanyin was brought back, her face was black. After many years, the oil paint on her body cracked. After much discussion, it was asked if Guanyin should be repaired. The decision was to have "Nantianmen Arts" repair the golden body. During the discussion, it was only mentioned to proceed as before. During the repair process, the master was also trusted to handle it with ease. One time, the abbot fell asleep on the highway to Puli. Suddenly, a golden-faced Guanyin flew towards the abbot, immediately waking him up with a shout, "She wants to be gold!" The people in the car were startled and immediately contacted Nantianmen to request a golden face. Fortunately, Guanyin had notified them, as they were about to apply black paint.
