Mazu is the sea goddess of folk beliefs, and in the hearts of her followers, she is a compassionate and highly revered goddess who vows to save all victims in distress. When a local drought persisted, sincere prayers were offered in an altar, and gentle rain poured down for a day and a night. She subdued the spirits of Qianliyan (thousand-mile eyes) and Shunfenger (wind-following ears) on Taohua Mountain, as well as the spirits of Jiaying and Jiayou. They were ranked among the eighteen members of the eighteen water-controlling immortals who patrol the waters and assist Mazu in rescuing those lost at sea. They are respectfully called "Tongxian Ling Nü." "Xin Bu Yang Bo" (a calm heart that does not raise waves) is a virtue that Jin Huan Mazu often encourages people to cultivate. In modern times, Mazu is proficient in all matters and is considered an almighty goddess in the hearts of the people.

After the birthday celebration, a ritual called "Bo Pei" will be held to select the "Bingwu Year Heavenly Holy Mother Lu Zhu" (Incense Master). Disciples wishing to participate should register via the official LINE account. If a disciple cannot attend in person, the divine affairs team will perform Bo Pei on their behalf.
