Interpretation of fortune stick person

Liu Zhiyuan (Zhiyuan), a Shatuo (Shatuo) man. Initially a military governor. When Yue Yanzhen was a military officer, Yanzhen was impressed by his appearance and married his daughter to him. Later, he served the Jin Dynasty and became the military governor of Binzhou and Taiyuan. When the Khitan destroyed the Jin, there was no ruler in the Central Plains. Zhiyuan then ascended the throne, changing the name of the state to Later Han. He retained the reign title Tianfu without changing it.

Desiring worldly success and fame in a short period of time, but finding circumstances unfavorable and being in adversity, unable to perform, I deeply regret my lifelong ambitions. Liu Zhiyuan established virtue and his reputation spread far and wide. When the time comes, with agile skills, I will be able to fulfill my aspirations. Therefore, the net of heaven is vast, and heaven has eyes that see clearly; good and evil are clearly rewarded.

Fortune telling by lot

Liu Zhiyuan lived a wandering life in his childhood, lamenting the unfavorable circumstances. After marrying Li Sanniang, his brother and sister-in-law intended to harm him, tasking him with guarding the melon garden. However, in the melon garden, he fought alone against a melon spirit and obtained a military strategy book. Later, he joined the army, killed the enemy, and made meritorious contributions, eventually being appointed as the Annamese Envoy of the Nine Provinces. Therefore, Heaven upholds justice, and good and evil are clearly rewarded. This fortune stick signifies turning misfortune into good fortune. For marriage: difficult to achieve. For illness: a dangerous youth. Although it may be a minor ailment, it is crucial to treat both internal and external injuries simultaneously. For lost items: they will be found under moonlight. For wealth: there are descendants (benefactors) but no wealth (wife/money); with the help of brothers, there is hope for wealth. One must wait until autumn, when the season favors brothers and descendants are helpful, for there to be hope for wealth.

Divination Meaning

This hexagram is named "Qian" (Humility), which means that humility reveals the principle of conducting oneself in life with respect, courtesy, yielding, and without complacency. All the hexagram lines are auspicious or beneficial, which is rare in the *Book of Changes*, highlighting the importance of humility. Mountains should be above ground, but in this hexagram, the mountain is underground, not breaking the surface. The trigram of Gen (mountain) symbolizes sincerity and steadfastness, while the trigram of Kun (earth) symbolizes obedience. This represents humility and gentleness through yielding and not competing with others, being sincere and obedient to others. However, this hexagram also carries the meaning of "being suppressed." In today's highly competitive society, being rejected or suppressed is also common. Therefore, this hexagram indicates that when suppressed, one should be patient, and better development will naturally follow when one's luck changes.
