Hexagram interpretation:
"Lǚ" means travel. The upper trigram Li represents fire, and the lower trigram Gen represents mountain. Together, they represent fire burning on a mountain. Mountains are inherently still objects. Now, with fire burning on the mountain, the fire moves from one place to another, constantly spreading. Furthermore, mountains can be likened to inns, and fire to travelers. This signifies travel. On one hand, Gen represents stopping, and Li represents brightness. Regarding this hexagram: it's like the sun setting, and travelers must find an inn to stop and spend the night. Then, the next morning, as the sun rises and the sky becomes bright, travelers must repack and set off again to continue their journey. This fully expresses the meaning of "travel." Therefore, this hexagram is named "Lǚ Hexagram."
