In the "Classic of the Three Officials Responding to Subtle Deeds," it is mentioned: "The Water Official said: 'When the stars are not in their proper places for all beings under heaven, and their destinies are delayed, if one recites this scripture, then evil diseases will not cling, auspicious stars will protect, malevolent stars will disperse, ten thousand calamities will melt like ice, and a thousand blessings will gather like clouds. When the scripture reaches the heavenly realm, blessings will descend upon the human world.'"
