Hexagram interpretation:
"Fu" means "to return to the original position." The shape of this hexagram is the complete opposite of the "Bo" hexagram mentioned earlier: one yang line at the bottom gradually rises, splitting the yin lines above into left and right sides. This signifies that yang energy is reawakening, and all things are gaining vitality. It means gradually gaining power, which is the meaning of recovery. Furthermore, the lower trigram "Zhen" is thunder, and the upper trigram "Kun" is earth. This forms thunder within the earth. Thunder arises due to yang energy and originally belongs to heaven. However, now "thunder" is below, descending to reside in the earth and is destined to rise and return to heaven. This also signifies recovery. Therefore, it is named the "Fu" hexagram.

Guanyin Bodhisattva, also known as Guanzizai Bodhisattva or Guangshi Yin Bodhisattva, is the sovereign of the Western Pure Land, and the foremost Bodhisattva under Amitabha Buddha. Annotation

The Bodhisattva of Compassion descends to the mortal world to save those who suffer. The evil beasts, who act wickedly, escape due to past karma. From now on, they will be subdued and sent back to the mountain to cultivate. All people celebrate the spring of peace and prosperity together.

Vernacular

Guanyin Bodhisattva descended to the mortal world to save people from suffering and distress. The evil Roc Bird's unwarranted escape was also due to past karma. Guanyin Bodhisattva subdued the Roc Bird and brought it back to the Purple Bamboo Forest in the South China Sea, keeping it by her side to continue its cultivation. From then on, all people rejoiced, and the world was at peace.

Fortune telling by lot

First, there was "The Roc causes chaos in the Song Dynasty," and then "Guanyin subdues the Roc." Only after a noble person appears can all future troubles be eliminated. Drawing this lot indicates a current situation, where adversity precedes good fortune. When asking about one's fortune, those with a sincere desire to do good will gradually find peace as seasons change. When asking about endeavors, righteous deeds can be accomplished, but it will be a time of many troubles. Friendship will be harmonious and auspicious. However, success may be delayed. When asking about lost items, they can be found within seven days, specifically on the "seventh day" as recorded in the original text of the "Book of Changes," in the Fù hexagram. Career: The "body of the hexagram" residing in the worldly position indicates that plans are decided and executed by yourself. Once a plan is decided, do not waver. (Liuhe Hexagram). It is profitable.

Divination Meaning

This hexagram is named "Fu," meaning return. It reveals the inevitable law of nature where yin recedes and yang, representing uprightness and righteousness, gradually returns, signifying the continuous cycle of creation and renewal in heaven and earth. It also illustrates the principle of returning to goodness, pursuing benevolence, and adhering to the righteous path, warning against straying from it. Fu signifies cycles and repetition, meaning that good things will repeat, but bad things can also come back. Thunder represents spring and the first lunar month of Yin. The spring thunder shakes the earth, symbolizing the rejuvenation of the land and the cyclical nature of things. From its爻 (lines), this hexagram has one yang line below five yin lines, signifying the return of yang after reaching its extreme (yin). It is the reverse of the hexagram Bo (Stripping), where Bo moves upward and Fu moves downward, hence its name "Fu."
