Nine Heavens Mother of the Way

Wuji Jiutian Daomu, also known as Jiutian Xuannü, Jiutian Daomu, Taishang Jiutian Xuannü Yuanjun, and popularly as Jiutian Xuannü Niangniang or Jiutian Ma, is an ancient female immortal in Chinese Taoism. Legend says she is a general of the Queen Mother of the West, a goddess transformed from the Golden Mother Phoenix, with boundless magic and a master of military strategy.
The Golden Ring Nine Heavens Mystic Maiden's spiritual emanation originates from "Xie Ling Temple of Xian Shan, Miaoli." Xie Ling Temple is famous for its "Immortal Water." In 1942, a spring suddenly emerged at a location in Xian Shan. At that time, malaria was spreading throughout the region. A villager surnamed Xiao was instructed in a dream by the Nine Heavens Mystic Maiden to obtain Immortal Water to cure his family's malaria. Word of mouth spread, and people seeking the water became endless, thus establishing the devotional lineage of the Nine Heavens Mystic Maiden of Xian Shan.
The Golden Ring Nine Heavens Xuannü, exuding immortal aura, represents the god of justice. In order to save those suffering from illness and calamity, she was willing to give up her golden body and scrape off wood powder to be used as talismans.
