Wishing you peace and joy on the 23rd day of the third lunar month, the birthday of the Holy Mother.
Kai Ji Da Sheng Mu is what we call "Da Ma." Her spirit originates from "Beigang Chaotian Temple." She is the first deity in Jin Huan. Originally, she was welcomed into the home as a household god by the abbot on December 4, 2012, from the rescued deity area of Chaotian Temple. After being enshrined, she repeatedly showed miraculous signs and frequently healed the abbot's ailing mother.
At Jin Huan, the Great Mother is like a loving, benevolent mother, with gentle rain-like teachings and warm guidance, emitting compassionate energy in every gesture. Jin Huan also inherits the origins of its ancestral temple, Beigang Chaotian Temple, which began with the Chan Buddhist master Shu Bi. Following the Great Mother's sacred decree, a compassionate Medicine Buddha Ceremony for disaster relief is held annually in the third lunar month. This ceremony utilizes the vast vows of the Twelve Great Vows to save all sentient beings.
