Second Mother | Spirit separated from Bangka Port Port Palace

Wishing you peace and joy on the 23rd day of the third lunar month, the birthday of the Holy Mother.
The founding Second Holy Mother originates from "Bengang Port Port Palace," one of the most widely distributed Mazu spirit branches in Taiwan. Originally a household deity venerated by the chairman, she was then known as "Port Third Holy Mother." Later, she answered a "call" to reside permanently in Jinhuan as the second Mazu, and thus became revered as the Founding Second Holy Mother. She transformed from guarding the chairman's family to embodying selfless love, saving and helping the world.
Second Mother upholds the spirit of the ancestral temple, descending to assist the world with a sedan chair, saving countless lives. Miraculous deeds are frequently reported. When operating the sedan chair, her movements are fluid and graceful, with immense power and profound gentleness.
To Her, no matter is too small, and by helping the world, She also demonstrates the equality of all beings. She personally attends to everything, and with the sweet smile that always adorns Her face, She earned the nickname "Smiling Second Mother." She once told Her adopted children, "Children of the coast should have the wisdom and magnanimity to be unbothered by trifles and not dwell on things." Only then did we understand that the Second Mother's smile not only refers to Her demeanor but also encompasses Her "philosophy of smiling," which is Her way of telling us to learn to let go of unnecessary persistence and face life with a smile.
