Lord Tiger is a deity in Taoism in the image of a tiger, commonly known as Lord Tiger, General Tiger, or General of the Tiger. He is respectfully called the General of the Lower Altar. He originates from the ancient natural worship of tigers and later became a part of folk beliefs. It is commonly said that "the Earth God governs the tigers of the mountains." Ancient people believed that tigers, being governed by the Earth God, possessed divine power and would protect the common people. It is also said that "Lord Tiger bites money," which can attract wealth. As a result, Lord Tiger holds a greater significance of attracting wealth in the hearts of believers.
Tiger Lord is derived from the direct ancestral temple of Jin Huan – the ancestral temple of Xinying Taizi Palace. Taizi Palace uses Tiger Lord as the vanguard of Prince Taizi, and during the old temple period of Taizi Palace, he was not enshrined under the altar but was worshipped on the right side of the main hall, possessing the efficacy of dispelling pestilence and guarding the temple.
Stories of wealth being attracted through Lord Tiger (Hu Ye Gong) are frequently heard, with responses felt across all kinds of professions, from farming and trade to industry and business! Even when it comes to the important matters of modern people's "fur babies," there are many miraculous accounts!
