Baosheng Dadi

Seeking a good doctor. Lunar calendar March 15th birthday.
Baosheng Dadi, whose given name was Wu Ben (ㄊㄠ), was born during the Song Dynasty. According to classical texts, he lived in Baijiao Township, Jishan Village, Tong'an County, Quanzhou, Fujian Road, and made a living by fishing. His father became ill, but due to poverty, he was unable to afford medical treatment and passed away. This led Wu Ben to dedicate himself to studying medicine and helping the world, thereby saving countless lives.
Zu Miao Xue Jia Ci Ji Temple enshrines Emperor Bao Sheng. It is said that the main deity statue in the temple, "Kai Ji Er Da Di," originated from the ancestral temple "Bai Jiao Ci Ji Temple" in Bai Jiao Township, Tong An County, Quanzhou Prefecture, Fujian Province. It is one of the earliest three Emperor Bao Sheng statues carved at the ancestral temple, making the statue possibly over eight hundred years old.
The Jin huan [Golden Ring] sect will worship Baosheng Dadi because before their pilgrimage around the island last year, the Marshal guided them that besides visiting various ancestral temples, the only specific instruction was to go to "Xuejia Ciji Temple." On that day, they were to travel from Ba Fen to Nankunshen. Passing by Xuejia, the abbot had a lazy thought and figured they could make a detour to Xuejia and then head to Kunshen. Thus, he secretly abandoned that route. Later, a companion carried the Marshal forward. When the abbot confirmed their routes, both were set to go "straight to Nankunshen." The abbot rushed ahead and, after waiting for a long time, did not see his companion. He then received a call from his companion saying, "There's a big temple in front of me! A stone archway. Should I go in and rest?" It turned out to be Xuejia Ciji Temple. Apparently, his navigation suddenly rerouted him to Xuejia Ciji Temple. This is how they understood Baosheng's will to forever dwell in the Golden Ring and aid the world.
