The lower trigram is the Kan trigram, representing water. Water is yin and flows downward. Their effects are opposite, and the upper and lower trigrams go against each other. On one hand, the Qian trigram uses strength to control what is below, and the Kan trigram uses peril to resist what is above. In terms of imagery, they also oppose each other, thus implying the meaning of \"litigation.\" Simultaneously, the lower trigram represents the \"inner self,\" and the upper trigram represents the \"outward appearance.\" Now, if we assume the inner self is treacherous and the outward appearance is gentle, disputes are less likely to arise.     Interpretation of fortune stick person<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    Di Qing (1008-1057), courtesy name Hanchen, was from Xihe, Fen Prefecture (modern Fenyang, Shanxi) during the Northern Song Dynasty. He had tattoos on his face and was skilled in archery and horsemanship. Born into poverty, he was appointed commander of Yanzhou in the first year of Emperor Renzong's Baoyuan reign (1038). Brave and strategic, he fought fiercely in the Song-Xia wars. Each battle, he would charge into enemy lines with his hair unbound, wearing a bronze mask, achieving numerous military successes. He had good relationships with prominent officials in the court such as Yin Zhu, Han Qi, and Fan Zhongyan. Fan Zhongyan taught him \"Zuo's Commentary on the Spring and Autumn Annals,\" after which Di Qing began to study earnestly, becoming proficient in military strategy. He was promoted to Deputy Commissioner of the Bureau of Military Affairs due to his merits. Throughout his life, he fought in 25 battles, with the surprise attack on Kunlun Pass on the fifteenth night of the fifth year of the Huangyou reign (1053) being the most famous.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Never have I done anything to make me frown: Live your life without doing anything that wrongs others, and you will have no one who hates you. Though disasters multiply, find peace within: When facing one disaster after another, you must overcome each one yourself to achieve peace.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
