We know that water in ponds and marshes evaporates when heated by the sun, turns into clouds and rain, and falls back to the earth to nourish all things between heaven and earth. The Marsh of Dui is below the Earth of Kun. The water on the surface flows into the marsh, and the water from the marsh then irrigates all things on the surface. They can be close to each other, support each other, and place their hopes in each other, leading to success in all endeavors. Dui signifies joy, and Kun signifies obedience. The lower rejoices with the upper, and the upper obeys the lower.
