Golden Ring enshrines the God of Fortune and Virtue, whose spirit originates from \"Kanding Fuan Temple\" in Baihe District, Tainan City. It is the only place in Taiwan that enshrines the Land God of the \"Three Realms of Heaven, Earth, and Man.\" Legend has it that the God of Fortune and Virtue at Fuan Temple is not the well-known \"Zhang Fude,\" but rather \"Zhao Guofu,\" born on August 15th in the eighth year of Emperor Kangxi's reign during the Qing Dynasty. He was orphaned from a young age, faced hardship, and was often mistreated. As an adult, while tending sheep for someone, the flock went missing. He was severely beaten by his employer and fell unconscious. Upon investigation of the cause of death, Yama, the King of Hell, granted him permission to return to the living world.<\/div>\n\n\n\n
After returning to life, I only wished for a simple living, to spend my life doing good deeds, helping the poor, and benefiting all people. And at the age of twenty-one, I fell gravely ill and passed away. Heaven, moved by my good heart, bestowed upon me the title \"God of Fortune and Virtue,\" making me the God of Fortune and Virtue. Later, during Emperor Jiaqing's tour of Taiwan, when bandits were rampant and plundering recklessly, Heaven issued a decree ordering the God of Fortune and Virtue, Zhao Guofu, to display his divine power and protect the entourage safely.<\/div>\n\n\n\n
The Golden Ring was respectfully invited on the second day of the eighth lunar month in the Renyin year to receive incense. The consecration and spiritual awakening took place on the fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month, Blessings and Fortune Birthday, to receive incense for ten thousand years. Introduction to the Honored Image: The \"long beard\" reminds people that by honoring the elderly, one can achieve longevity and a long-lasting career. Holding a \"walking stick\" with longevity peaches and immortal fruits is a wish to be down-to-earth and cultivate many blessings, which will ensure that all affairs are as desired, and blessings, prosperity, longevity, and happiness will be attained. Holding an \"ingot\" in the left hand and leaning against a treasure chest serves as a reminder that one's lifelong wealth is predetermined by heaven, and one should not be greedy for more. Those who practice charity shall live, and their prosperity in life is all due to the accumulation of blessings and merit.<\/div>\n\n\n\n

As a clerk, I handle official requests. And my loyal heart reaches the emperor.
Righteousness pierces the nine heavens. Good and evil are evident.
And responsive, having access to all three realms.
Merits and demerits should be clearly distinguished.
Consolidate the golden soup. Stabilize the social order.
Great loyalty and great filial piety. Most manifest and most efficacious.
Protect the country and bless the people. Great joy and great generosity.
