The Earth Store Sutra states, \"Enduring and unmoving, like the great earth; profound and still meditation, like a hidden treasure.\" Just as mountains, ridges, and all life depend on the earth for their existence, so too are all worldly merits and virtuous deeds, both for self-benefit and the benefit of others, said to exist through Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha. Like the earth, Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha can contain various merits, hold all wondrous teachings, and carry all sentient beings from the shore of suffering to the luminous and blissful other shore. Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha is widely propagated for his virtues of \"great filial piety\" and \"great vows.\" \ud83d\ude4f<\/p>\n\n\n\n
